This is my first (and probably last) land/cityscape. I was waiting to see a doctor and pretty much feeling fortunate for all that still works within me. Moving to Ottawa was a difficult transition from Brooklyn and other places that I have lived. However, there is much beauty here framing a life with my kids, dogs , and partner that I deeply appreciate.

Wetlands are amongst the planet’s most vital ecosystems. They are an important habitat for fish/wildlife, filter pollution, provide flood protection, and also store large amounts of carbon. But they are one of the Earth’s most threatened ecosystem types. Once abundant throughout Canada, wetlands are now increasingly scarce in populated areas.
